When you file a DMCA takedown or a counter-notice, you receive a reference identifier for that request. Keep it, because it acts as the key for checking status.

Checking a Takedown

A takedown request moves through states such as pending and, once reviewed, an approved or rejected outcome. The status lookup shows the current state, when it was reviewed, and any resolution notes. For privacy, personal details of the reporter are not shown.

Checking a Counter-Notice

A counter-notice status shows whether it is still pending, when it was reviewed, the date the content becomes eligible for automatic restoration, whether a court action was reported, and whether the content has already been restored.

Status pages intentionally limit what they reveal. They confirm progress without exposing the contact information of the people involved.
