Following and Unfollowing

Open a member's profile and use the follow action to follow them. Use it again to unfollow. You can see who you follow and who follows you from the followers and following lists on a profile.

What Following Does

• It surfaces that member's public activity in your feed.
• It is the first half of a mutual follow, which is required before you and another member can exchange direct messages.

Following is public: a member can see their followers list.

Mutual Follows and Messaging

Direct messaging requires that both members follow each other. If you can follow someone but cannot message them yet, they may not follow you back, or another messaging rule may not be met.

Blocking

If you no longer want to interact with a member, you can block them. Blocking prevents messaging in both directions. See reporting content for blocking and safety options.
