DISCONTINUED. Mistral's open-weight 24B multimodal model (March 2025, Apache 2.0), adding image understanding and a 128K context window to Mistral Small 3. It delivers strong text and vision performance at a size that runs on a single high-end GPU, competitive with larger proprietary small models. Mistral deprecated the hosted version on November 6, 2025 and retired it on November 30, 2025; the Apache-2.0 weights remain live on Hugging Face and Mistral's AI-governance page still records the open model as Active.
