Mentioning Someone

While writing a comment, type @ followed by a member's username, for example @jane. When your comment posts, mentioned members can be notified so they can join the conversation.

Mention Notifications

Mentions are a convenience, not a way to bypass someone's preferences:

• A mentioned member is only notified if they allow mentions in their settings.
• Members who turn off mention notifications will not be alerted, even if mentioned.

Tips

• Mention people who are genuinely relevant to the discussion.
• Repeatedly mentioning someone to get their attention can be treated as harassment.
• Mentions work inside comment text on supported content such as blog posts and learning pages.

To control whether you receive mention notifications, open your settings and review your notification or privacy preferences.
